Essential Oils for Libra

Libra, the seventh house of the zodiac and ruled by Venus, is the sign of balance and harmony. Librans are gifted diplomats and have a great love for beauty and peace.

Librans tend to absorb the energy of those around them so it is important they be able to find harmony and balance in negative situations Some essential oils that can be used to help achieve this are chamomile, rose, jasmine, rose geranium, neroli and lavender.

People born under the sign of Libra love harmony. dislike conflict and will go along to get along in order to achieve that goal even if it is a false harmony. Essential oils  to bolster their sense of self  and increase courage include frankincense, pine and melissa/lemon balm.
Frankincense is especially useful in stressful situations and can be used by rubbing a couple of drops on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet for an almost instant clam and sense of peace.
My Aphrodite blend is perfect for Librans. The blend includes rose essential oil for harmony and balance along with frankincense for peace and courage. You can apply to the pulse points or use on your palms or soles of the feet as you would straight frankincense. Any of these oils can also be used in your diffuser.

Myrrh and Patchouli

Before I get into the uses for these wonderful essential oils I would like to share the importance of doing a patch test before using a new botanical in any of your preparations. It's simple and only takes 15-20 minutes to find out if you or someone else is sensitive to an oil or botanical. Put a drop of the essential oil in question on a cotton ball and dab the inside of your arm right below the elbow. If any redness, itching or irritation occurs within the next 15-20 minutes avoid using that substance in any of your creations. MYRRH ~Myrrh has a warm, resinous scent that is soothing in states of stress, panic, fear, confusion and apathy. To use for this purpose, place a drop or two of the essential oil in a diffuser or bowl o f hot water to help disperse the scent throughout the room. Purple Coneflower- Echinacea purpurea

The echinacea is in full bloom here in the northeast. It is a beautiful plant that is very easy to grow. Purple coneflower, as it is commonly known, grows to 2-4 feet in height and prefers a well drained site in full sun. It doesn't mind poor soil.
